Electronic resources

The BUB has placed at the disposal of its users a series of CD Roms and on-line databanks which can be accessed by readers through the multi-media terminals in the Reference Rooms.

The user can effect searches by using titles/key words, classes (Dewey Decimal Classification) and by type of material.
Under “Dettaglio” complete information on each resource can be accessed. It is also possible to obtain an alphabetic list of titles and a list to facilitate tracing under a variety of headings.

The symbol beside the description gives the following information:
CD - the resource comprises a local CD Rom that can be consulted in the library.
RT - the resource comprises an on-line CD Rom that can be accessed in the library.
DB - the resource comprises a connection to an external database.

The service is available during the opening hours of the Reading Rooms. For details of how to use the service users should ask the Librarian on duty.
