The library provides customers with a bibliographic information desk both on the premises and via e-mail.
On site information
The office offers general and specific information regarding the services of the library, on the bibliographic material available and how it may be accessed. It also offers instructions and assistance to users who wish to
- conduct catalographic and bibliographic research using card and on-line catalogues;
- trace books and periodicals not held in the Library;
- know more about the services offered by other libraries and information centres in the country;
The service also provides general information over the telephone.
The service comprises an office responsible for relations with the public (URP), set up in the context of the law 241/1990. It receives both complaints or claims relating to the service and suggestions for improvements on the part of users and guarantees right of access to administrative documents.
To provide a convenient channel for the reporting of complaints or shortcomings in the service the appropriate form is provided for the use of customers.
In addition the Library accepts requests for works not held in the Library itself.
The service is available on submission of a written request. The service covers the tracing of books and periodicals, the checking of bibliographic data, and the identification of bibliographic sources and instruments.
The service does not include the drawing up of bibliographies.
