Long room
The room, incorporated into the Library in 1700 is also a gallery overlooking the courtyard of the old Palazzo Poggi.
It is notable for the present furnishings which echo the style of the Aula Magna, with its two-tier bookcases and running balcony going back to 1930, and its “comb- pattern” layout.
The room is now used for the reading of material relating to the history of Bologna and Emilia Romagna, professional training in librarianship and the history of science.
